Privacy Policy

1. Overview

At Rubber Bands LLC ("we", "us", "our"), we built Lookout! to be privacy-first. The App does not require an account or email to play, and we do not sell personal information. We collect only the minimal data needed to keep the App reliable, improve performance, and understand broad usage patterns.

2. Information We Collect

We aim to collect as little information as possible:

• No account or contact data: We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or create user accounts.

• Diagnostics and performance data (Sentry): We use Sentry to help identify and fix crashes and performance issues. Data may include crash logs, stack traces, app version, device model, OS version, approximate timestamps, performance metrics, and limited device characteristics. Sentry may temporarily process network identifiers (such as IP) for security and anti-abuse; we do not use this to identify you.

• Usage analytics (PostHog): We use PostHog to understand which features are used and to guide improvements. Data may include event counts, screens or actions taken in-app, non-precise location derived from network information, language, app version, device type, and a randomly generated identifier. We do not collect names, emails, or precise GPS location.

• No sensitive categories: We do not intentionally collect information that reveals your race, religion, health, or other sensitive categories.

Service provider policies: Sentry and PostHog.

3. How We Use Information

• Keep the App reliable, secure, and performant
• Fix bugs, diagnose crashes, and improve gameplay experience
• Understand aggregated usage to prioritize features and improvements
• Prevent abuse and maintain service integrity

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Sentry (diagnostics) and PostHog (analytics) act as our processors and handle data on our behalf under their terms and applicable data protection laws.
• Legal and safety: If required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

We do not share data with advertising networks, and we do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the App.

5. Data Retention

We retain analytics and diagnostics data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. In general, analytics data is retained for approximately 90 days and crash/performance data for approximately 180 days, though actual retention may vary based on operational needs and provider defaults.

6. Your Choices

• You can limit analytics and diagnostics collection by restricting the App’s network access or using OS-level privacy controls.
• You may contact us to request deletion of data that can reasonably be linked to your device or session.

Because we do not maintain user accounts, we may need reasonable details (for example, device model, app version, approximate dates/times of usage) to locate relevant records with our processors.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our processors operate. These locations may have data protection laws that are different from those in your jurisdiction.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last Updated” date when changes are made. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
